Do I have to pay for editing before you'll consider my book?

Accepted Answer

A fee to consider it for publication? Absolutely not. There is no fee whatsoever for our publishing submissions. Whether you're accepted for publication depends only on the project itself and if it fits with our list.

Our editorial services do involve a fee: when you book a service, we take a deposit of 20% of the quoted fee. If for any reason we cannot take on your request, this deposit is refunded in full. When booking a consultation, payment is required upfront. Editing/consultation services are completely separate from publishing submissions.

Does it cost money to publish with Atzei Rimon?

Many of our publishing projects involve an agreed author contribution towards editing, design, production and other costs. Some projects may receive sponsorship or other support. We discuss the financial arrangements individually, and nothing is agreed until you've reviewed the proposed terms. Submitting a manuscript is free.

What happens if my manuscript is accepted?

We'll discuss what the book needs and propose a publishing plan. Depending on the project, that can include editing, proofreading, cover and interior design, typesetting, production and distribution. We'll also agree on costs, responsibilities and terms before work begins.

Will I have a say in my book's cover?

Yes. We work with authors on the creative direction of their books, including the cover. The process and final approval arrangements are set out as part of each project's publishing agreement.

Question 21

Can you guarantee book sales or placement in bookshops?

Accepted Answer

No. Our books can be made available through distribution channels, but we can't promise sales or that a particular shop will stock a title. We'll explain the distribution and promotion arrangements proposed for your book.

Do you offer services other than publishing?
