Short story anthology – submissions open

Atzei Rimon is proud to announce we are open for submissions for our short story anthology, tentatively titled Those Who Stay. We are looking for fiction or narrative non-fiction stories that focus on Jewish identity and areas of growth/challenge, and can inspire others with honesty and new perspectives.

Throughout the Jewish and non-Jewish publishing worlds, we see a huge selection of brilliantly written books that focus on people “leaving the fold”, and we have a real dearth of stories around those who stay (or come in), and why/how they do it – and what they wrestle with along the way.

Stories should ideally be around 5,000-6,000 words and focus on any narrative around personal growth within faith or Jewish identity. The goal is not to be didactic, but honest about our own experiences.

The plan is to distribute the anthology online and also, if we have enough contributors, a limited print run within North America. The anthology will require non-exclusive rights, meaning that we have your permission to publish each story but the copyright will remain with the author. All participants whose stories are selected will receive an equal share of any profits made.

Submissions will close at 9pm ET on Tuesday August 25, 2026.

Please fill out the form below if you wish to submit a story to be considered for the anthology.
